Sonia Peña presents her FIRST LADY & BIZNAGA collections.

Once again, the designer from Malaga comes to the PASARELA GAUDÍ NOVIAS to present her new cocktail and party creations for the Spring/Summer 2011 season.

Her "First Lady" cocktail line draws its inspiration from the legendary Jackie Kennedy. A woman with a strong personality and a style of her own who marked the fashion of the era. Straight and sombre lines, wide necks, coats, short jackets? An evocation of the 1960s with the touch of the great-haute couture designers of the moment.

The romantic air is provided by colour. Pink, mauve, turquoise, natural, silver... pastel tones that enhance the femininity of the woman of today, without forgetting the eternally elegant and black and white enjoy great presence in Sonia Peña's collections.

The featured materials are: Mikados, guipures, silk dupions, jacquards, organzines, piqués, Ottomans?

For the "Biznaga" party collection, Sonia Peña has drawn her inspiration from summer nights in Malaga, hot and soft, imbued with the sensual aroma of the Malaga biznaga jazmine.

And for the night, the designer draws from the more sophisticated, more racial woman. A bold woman, who shows off colour without any hang-ups. With patterns in misty, sheer fabrics, and new textures: Satins, dupions, taffetas, ethereal silk gauze? With a lot of movement.

And of course, with the becoming embroidery work and frills that evoke the tradition of her Andalusia.

With these two collections, Sonia Peña defines a seductive, sophisticated and modern woman, who always manages to look her best on any occasion, self-assured.
