Absolute record of participation: The event has topped its maximum number of exhibitors

Expectations for the eighteenth edition of the Noviaespaña International Show are running unbeatably high. Three months away from the opening on May 30, which runs through to June 1 , the event is already fully booked. The organisation has been flooded with so many booking applications that it has had to extend the exhibition surface to 30,000 m2 . Even then, the full surface area of the new trade fair venue (Pavilion 8 in the Gran Vía facility of Fira Barcelona) was not enough to cater to the numerous requests for space from countries all over the world. For this reason, additional space will need to be hired for the 2009 event to satisfy the demand from a waiting list of companies that are anxious to exhibit at the reference Bridal Wear Show in Europe , whose success is endorsed by 18 years of mounting popularity.

For the moment, a host of companies from different countries in Europe, America and Asia have confirmed their participation at the event. Internationality continues to be an outstanding trait in the profile of exhibitors, with a percentage of foreigners now standing at 38% (7.5% more than the previous year) and includes major new signings such as AMANDA WAKELEY ( England ) , GALIT LEVI ( Israel ), VIRGINIA ATELIER ( Bulgaria ) or the Japanese New York-based designer JUNKO YOSHIOKA.

As for domestic participation, once again the Show features the presence of the best Spanish fashion firms for brides, ceremonies and accessories , with a significant increase in the male fashion segment, which has become definitively consolidated.

All these data indicate that the forthcoming edition will be a resounding success and that it will outstrip the figures of the last event, which was visited by more than 12,000 people, 57% of them from abroad , thus highlighting the importance of this Show as an international forum for dialogue and business between manufacturers, buyers and the mass media.

New venue

This year, the International NOVIAESPAÑA-BARCELONA BRIDAL WEEK Show will be split over the new and Modern Pavilion 8 of the Gran Vía Facility of Fira Barcelona. The main goal of this change is to make room for a greater number of exhibitors, in a comfortable, design-driven space that lays on a comprehensive offer of services and cutting-edge infrastructure for exhibitors and visitors alike.

The Pasarela Gaudí Novias is preparing its most international edition.

Parallel to the Show's commercial activity, the top floor of Pavilion 8 will host a new edition of PASARELA GAUDÍ NOVIAS.

From May 27 to 30 , worldwide-famous designers will meet up at this platform, which projects the glamour, creativity and exclusivity of its collections to the rest of the world, in the world's best scenario, namely Barcelona .

The event, which has become an obligatory point of reference for specialised magazines from all over the world, will take another step in its worldwide dimension with new names, whose importance would merit a separate press release.
